the [un]serious collective.
It started with a wild idea between two roommates:
What if we did a sprint triathlon in the Hamptons?
There was just one small problem.
We didn’t know how to swim.
We’d never run a race.
We weren’t training junkies or gym bros.
But that wasn’t the point.
We believed that you don’t have to be a serious athlete to try something new.
You don’t need a six-pack to show up.
And fitness shouldn’t be about gatekeeping, calorie-counting, or chasing perfect.
It should be about stories. About the friends you drag along for the ride.
About sweaty high-fives, confused lifeguards, and the kind of community where effort matters more than medals.
So we started The Unserious Co.
For the runners who stop for snacks.
For the golfers who play for the outfit.
For the athletes (and not-so-athletes) who just want to try.
We’re here to build a community, not a podium.
To make effort feel a little less intimidating, and a lot more fun.
Thanks for being here.
